As a mediator, S. Shane Sagheb is committed to facilitating communication among the parties and to assisting them in their efforts to resolve their dispute. He brings to the table the following core characteristics, each of which is essential to a productive mediation:

In addition, Shane offers a distinct ability to evaluate legal disputes objectively, based on his more than 30 years of experience in all stages of civil litigation, from discovery to dispositive motions and from trials to appeals. Most of this experience has arisen in the employment law arena, in which he has represented both employers and employees and in which he is particularly well-suited to mediate disputes. The parties in mediation can rely on Shane with confidence, knowing that he offers them an unbiased evaluation of their respective positions, the applicable law, and the evidence. This evaluation assists the parties in their negotiations, allowing them to determine more effectively whether to resolve their dispute and on what terms.

Shane recently was appointed to the mediation panel of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and he is available to serve as a mediator pursuant to the Court’s General Order No. 11-10. Shane also is available for private mediations, either on a half-day or full-day basis.
